Speaker Session
Event Details
This event occurred on Wed, May 20, 2020
eCommerce is complicated at the best of times. Many eCommerce sites suffer from usability issues, and few are accessible. Karen Hawkins shared a story of collaboration during AccessU 2020, where a collection of engaged professionals broke the mold to tackle this inherently complicated problem.
Karen's talk was a case study on how you can successfully and meaningfully incorporate consideration of web accessibility into the entire digital design process. From the style guide to wireframes to final design comps, Karen walked the audience through the design thinking that went into the complete redesign of an eCommerce website.
